In order for a wetroom to function correctly there are 3 main areas for consideration:

• Gradient - the floor of the shower area needs to have sufficient gradient to allow the water to drain away without forming puddles.
• Drainage - the choice of drainage system must suit your particular circumstances - i.e. gravity or pumped drainage.
• Waterproofing - A wetroom must be securely waterproofed or 'tanked' to prevent unwanted leaks.
