Question - Electrical Requirements
What are the electrical requirements of my Springwave Steam Shower?

The steam generator in your Springwave steam shower will be rated at 3KW, unless otherwise stated.

We always recommend a separate, permanently connected supply from the consumer unit (with RCD) via a double pole linked switch, with a minimum contact gap of 3mm in both poles.  The switch can be a ceiling mounted pull cord type or a wall mounted switch.

The switch must be readily accessible and clearly identifiable, but our of reach of the person using the steam shower, except for the cord of the cord operated switch.  The wiring must be connected to that switch without the use of a plug or socket outlet.

Once you have a supply into the bathroom, the best way to connect to the shower is via a waterproof junction box, mounted high on the wall.

All electrical work MUST be carried out by a qualified Part P registered electrician and in accordance with current regulations.  Failure to do so may cause serious injury, even death and will invalidate your product warranty.
