Enjoy the crisp winter air with the heat of a hot tub
Hot tubbing during the winder months is one of the most exhilarating and fun activities a family can do together. Even though the thought of being outside in the cold or even in some cases the snow without warm clothing can be standoffish at first, it's actually a very common (and enjoyable) outdoor activity. Especially in areas that get chilly winter seasons such as Alaska and parts of Canada.
Many people spend most of their time indoors during the winter months and take advantage of home items that instill warmth, like cozying up to the fireplace or putting on a pair of flannel pajamas. In some lucky cases this could even be steaming in a steam shower or sauna, or relaxing in a whirlpool bath. Outdoor hot tubbing provides that same level of comfort - but also provides a sense of refreshment and rejuvenation. The cold temperature outdoors and the warmth of the water inside the hot tub creates and invigorating combination that many people love. During the winter season, hot tub owners still use their outdoor hot tub on a regular basis and find the winter months to be the most enjoyable time for hot tubbing.
It's important to remember that running your hot tub in the winter time is different than running it in spring or summer. Hot tub owners will know that they need to run the hot tub for longer periods of time in cold temperatures, because it takes longer to heat up. It's also a good idea to have a good quality hot tub cover, which will help to insulate the hot tub and keep the heat inside. Floating thermal blankets can also be used to prevent heat from escaping.
