Tiled floors are aesthetically pleasing, they give your bathroom and/or en-suite a modern look and feel, they are also extremely hygienic and practical compared to carpet. However, anyone who's walked on them in the morning will realise that they get very cold! With the Devimat®100 underfloor heating system this will no longer be an issue as they will warm your tiles to your personal settings, in an economically friendly way.
The underfloor heating system will also assist with the room temperature of the bathroom as the heat will rise off the tiled floor, thus potentially reducing existing heating systems, however this shouldn't be relied on as a primary source of heating.
The Devimat®100 is a self-adhesive mesh with an ultra-thin heating cable pre-attached which is just 3.5mm thick. The mat design not only enables a fast installation, but as the heating cables are already spaced out on the mesh an even heat is guaranteed across the whole floor, with no cold ripples. As the mat is so thin, it can be installed within the thickness of the tile adhesive adding no appreciable height to the floor. The mat is 500mm wide and is available in various lengths.
Please note that this product does not include the Devireg 550 electric thermostat/timer to use alongside the heating, this can be bought separately here.
The heating cable meets the highest UK and European standards and is the only thin heating cable with a complete aluminium earth sheathing. This product is for 4 metres squared of area to be warmed, however there are 13 other sizes to select from, these can be found here.
